2010 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
Appearance: A deeply coloured and structured wine
Aroma: The balance between the rich blackberry and brambly fruit characters is enhanced by its oak complexity.
Palate: A long and flavoursome palate confirming that Cabernet Sauvignon is still the king of reds in the Great Southern.
Food: An excellent accompaniment to Roast Lamb.
Cellaring: This wine will repay extensive cellaring.
Harvested in a special year for the Great Southern; this Mt Barker grown Cabernet Sauvignon shows why this variety is so well suited to the region. Strongly violet and purple colours introduce its Black Currant and Briary aromatics. An elegantly structured palate allows these flavours to be appreciated in this wines youth as well as providing the strength and balance required for bottle aging. A wonderful accompaniment to roast lamb.
A minimal addition of preservative 224
