Nose: A fresh bouquet of melon combined subtle perfume of tropical fruit.
Palate: Textured honeydew melon with hints of grapefruit showing through.
Finish: There is some grassiness on the finish which is soft, round and very clean.
Note: This wine spent 20 months in French oak and underwent a partial “malo” which has provided an elegant buttery finish.
This wine displays the golden hues associated with its 24 months maturation in quality French oak whilst it remained on its yeast lees. A crisp, yet soft and full flavoured style with a pleasing palate; showing complex blend of fruit, oak and the light buttery character which is sought by many. Great mouthfeel and excellent persistence of flavour with a clean and long finish. Made specifically as a food wine whilst in its youth. This wine will develop over time and will become a gorgeous ‘conversation wine’ This wine best suits white meat dishes and creamy pasta dishes which are not overly spicy.
