Palate First impressions are of richness and texture, principally contributed by the level of residual sugar and botrytis. Strong orange marmalade and a subtle influence of the oak deliver a long, rich and complexly flavoured palate with incredible length.
Food: The perfect accompaniment to foie gras
Cellaring: A wine that will continue to evolve for at least 2 decades.

The first Barsac style of wine we have produced at Rickety Gate; made entirely from Semillon, harvested at 20.10 baume and fermented and aged in 100% new Burgundian premier cru oak. Rich in colour with green and gold’s befitting this majestic style. Strongly reminiscent of Orange blossom and marmalade, supported by a subtle backdrop of vanilla. First impressions are of richness and texture and the subtle influence of the oak assists in delivering a rich and complexly flavoured palate with incredible length.  A wine for special occasions which will continue to evolve for another 2 decades.
